NDT PROCEDURE
We provide an independent assessment and verification of the inspection technique. If a current NDT inspection procedure is to be “validated,” we review the current NDT technique. This validation procedure can recognize all aspects of the NDT process, reporting and approval techniques and then re-reviewing the new procedure. Within this study, the requirements of the client will also be taken on board, creating a new and improved NDT inspection procedure.

WRITTEN PRACTICE
Because Recommended Practice No. SNT-TC-1A provides guidelines; employers are required to create a company NDT certification procedure known as a “Written Practice.”
Employers must review the SNT-TC-1A guidelines and determine which guidelines apply to their NDT requirements, then they must create a procedure for the control and administration of NDT personnel training, examination and certification.
The Written Practice should describe the responsibility of each level of certification for determining the acceptability of materials or components in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications and procedures, and must describe the training, experience and examination requirements for each level of certification. When included in the Written Practice, the selected guidelines become the certification requirements for the company.
AUDIT NDT PROGRAM
Before executing a contract with a potential NDT provider, clients will often audit an NDT program to determine if the program is compliant with SNT-TC-1A and whether or not appropriate steps have been taken to insure the proficiency of NDT personnel.
DNA NDTECH can evaluate an existing program or establish a new one to insure that NDT personnel are competent and that the program meets client requirements and the guidelines of SNT-TC-1A. In the case of deficiencies, we can provide training and administer written and practical qualification examinations.

EMPLOYER CERTIFICATES
Employer-based certification systems are systems in which the employers are responsible for the administration of the training and the qualification examinations of their own employees, as well as the documentation of the required training, examinations and experience in accordance with an employer-based standard or recommended practice.
Most employer-based systems do allow the employer to accept training and examination services provided by outside agencies provided it is properly documented and the employer has determined that the content of those services meet their own company requirements as described in the employer’s Written Practice.
